FFD hosted a live fire training burn this afternoon on Foushee Road. Thank you to the owners for donating the property and to our neighboring departments for joining us. Training together, especially with live fire in real houses, ensures seamless, professional performance at actual emergencies.

Working detectors save lives! The Franklinville Fire Department provides a smoke detector program to assist homeowners, of the Franklinville Rural Fire District and the Town of Franklinville, who do not have a working smoke detector. If you do not have a working smoke detector, firefighters from the department will inspect it and replace a battery if needed or install a new working smoke detector at no charge to the owner.
