Community members often think that firefighters respond only to motor vehicle accidents and house fires. The truth is that the Franklinville Fire Department responds to a multitude of different alarm types including, but not limited to, structure fires, motor vehicle fires, chimney fires, grass/woods fires, motor vehicle accidents, hazardous material spills, high angle rope rescues, heavy machinery rescues, and many more.
All paid staff are required to be EMT certified and, in addition to the call types above, respond to various types of medical alarms including, but not limited to, chest pains, breathing difficulties, heart problems, falls, lift assists, allergic reactions, traumatic injuries, and more!
